How To Be A High Desert Minimalist Gardener: The Art and Technique of Stretching Time and Space

The High Desert is a crazy place to have a garden. And this book is a crazy kind of guide to do that. Yes, we have the same issues as the Low Desert, like heat, lack of water, wind, and crummy soil [sand], but in addition, we have cold and way too much space to fill. Up here, generally people don’t know what to do with all that space. So they sprinkle a few cacti around, add a tree or two and throw in some oleander. Not so good.I’m on a mission to correct that because there actually is a special new style just for the High Desert. I call it the High Desert Minimalist Garden, and it enhances the largest spaces with the fewest plants and in a way that invites you to stroll through it and relax in it.
